Luke Seitz

Managing Partner

Luke Seitz is the Managing Partner of Seitz & Pepper Family Lawyers. Luke focuses primarily in the areas of Family & Divorce Law, Intervention Orders, Criminal & Traffic Law and Wills & Estates, with a particular emphasis on complex financial property settlements and difficult child related matters.

Prior to co-founding Seitz & Pepper Lawyers, Luke was a Senior Associate in a national Family Law Firm in Sydney and Melbourne, and has gained international legal experience in the United States. Luke was admitted as a Lawyer in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2014. Luke holds a Law degree from the University of Western Australia, and an undergraduate degree in Business from Curtin University.

Luke has expert knowledge and experience in all aspects of Family Law matters including separation and divorce, property settlements, finalisation of Family Law settlements including consent orders and financial agreements, de facto relationships and de facto relationship agreements, parenting issues and arrangements for children, child support, child abduction, domestic violence matters and spousal maintenance.

Luke has extensive experience in complex financial matters involving family trusts, corporate structures, and valuations, and has acted in many large-scale disputes involving high net worth and high-profile business clients.

Luke has significant experience in parenting disputes, having acted for both mothers and fathers. Luke is an experienced advocate in the Family Law Courts, however, Luke’s focus is always on resolution of the dispute, no matter how simple or complex the dispute may be.

Luke frequently travels interstate to appear at the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia in complex Family Law disputes. Luke is also experienced in Family Law matters that cross international jurisdictions, having served many clients that have resided internationally.

Olivia Pepper

Founding Partner

Credentials

Olivia Pepper is a Founding Partner of Seitz & Pepper Lawyers.

Olivia holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Criminology) from Swinburne Institute of Technology and was awarded Top Graduate for her course. She completed her Juris Doctor (with Distinction) from the University of Southern Queensland. Olivia received her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law Victoria.

Prior to co-founding Seitz & Pepper Lawyers, Olivia worked for generalist law firms under solo practitioners. This has allowed her to work on diverse matters in a variety of legal fields, such as civil litigation, family law, criminal law, contested intervention orders and breaches, bankruptcy, employment law, probate, estate and succession planning, and conveyancing.

Olivia is a client-focused, highly empathetic, and communicative legal professional, who prefers a collaborative approach to the clients’ matters, seeking to resolve the issues as expeditiously as possible and with minimal stress and cost to the client.

Olivia is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Geelong Law Association.

Olivia has an ardent interest in advocacy and has volunteered her time in human rights law with the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre and has spent time fostering animals with Geelong Animal Rescue.

When not working, Olivia spends time with her family, including a menagerie of four-legged family members. She is an avid, yet hopeless gardener, a lover of live music and theatre and a keen hiker.

Unita Ford

Senior Conveyancer

Unita Ford is a Senior Conveyancer in the Conveyancing & Property Settlements team, and has more than 15 years experience working in the property sector. Unita strives to ensure that you have a stress-free conveyancing experience, keeping you informed of the progress of your matter from your first call and initial instructions through to final settlement.

Conveyancing is Unita’s forte and she never ceases to impress clients with her efficiency and knowledge. Unita is keen to see a shift in the way conveyancing services are delivered and in particular sees the benefits of delivering family law settlement transfers to ensure that family law clients are effecting their settlements as was intended.

Throughout her professional career Unita has worked in conveyancing and the property sector at various times. Unita enjoys conveyancing in the new electronic world of PEXA which has changed the way conveyancing is conducted in Victoria.
